Taxi drivers serve visitors 24 hours. Plus, there is an additional airport surcharges for all trips starting from the airport. A ride from airport to city will take 20-30 minutes approximately with cost $20 to $30.

  • Airport surcharge: S$5 from 5.00 PM to midnight (Fri-Sun) and S$3 all other times
  • Midnight (00.00 – 6.00 AM) surcharge is 50% of final fare on meter
  • Peak hours (6.00 AM to 9.00 AM, Mon-Fri and 6.00 PM to midnight, everyday) surcharge is 25% of final metered fare

Changi Airport Shuttle

The change airport shuttle are very convenient and inexpensive transports available from and to the airport. These shared vans are available for 24 hours and provide drop facility to many hotels in Singapore.

To ride the airport shuttle, you can pre-book the seat online or get the service at Ground Transport Desks at the Arrival halls. The travel time to the city is about 25 minutes based on traffic conditions.

Costs: Adult – S$9, Child (< 12) – S$6

Pick up service is available every 15 minutes in peak hours and 30 minutes in off-peak hours.

MRT (MASS RAPID TRANSIT)

The MRT train station is accessible by foot is located underground between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Follow the sign “Train to City” to get to the MRT station from whichever terminal you are.

The Changi airport is connected to the East West line at Tanah Merah station. To get to the city, ride the westbound train at Tanah Merah station. If you want to see many popular places like Chinatown, Raffles or City Hall, then you need to change to Green line MRT train.

Public Bus

Public bus is another cheapest way to get to Singapore city located at the basement bus bays of Terminals 1, 2 and 3. The bus stop in terminal 4 is located next to Car Park 4B having only four bus services – 24, 34, 36 and 110.

If you pay by cash then exact fare is required as no change will be given. Alternatively you can also use stored value of EZ-Link card on the buses. Probably the most useful bus for tourists would be 36 which runs between Changi airport and orchard road.

However, if you are travelling with lot of luggage then please note that the bus does not have much room for luggage. As it’s a normal passenger bus, there may not be much space for luggage.

Bus Fares: SGD 0.70 to SGD 1.40 (non air-conditioned), SGD 0.80 to SGD 1.70 (air-conditioned)

Limousine & large taxi

A 7-seater large taxi or 4-seater limousine is the most convenient option if you are with small family or in group. You can approach them for 24-hour at the Ground Transport Concierges at the Arrival Halls.

Whether pre-book it or get on arrival is totally up to you. Both limousine and large taxi will pick you up from any terminal of the airport and easily available. Limousine is very comfortable and give passengers a luxury feeling during trip.

Costs: $55 for 4-seater limousine and $60 for 7-seater large taxi per departure from airport.
